Located at an altitude of 1,850m, Val d’Isère is an authentic village, recognized for its quality of life, its wooden and stone mountain chalets, and its old traditional village.
Sports resort par excellence, Val d’Isère has always been the setting for great sporting achievements, be it for the Olympic Games, the “Criterium de la Première Neige” or the World Alpine Ski Championships.
La Mourra adventure was made possible thanks to its elder sister, Le Blizzard, whose story began back in 1963.
Stepping into Le Blizzard is like entering an authentic family home — warm, welcoming, and filled with soul.
An intimate atmosphere that feels just like home, making this cherished place a true guardian of authentic and heartfelt hospitality

Located in the old town of the village, La Mourra 5* blends seamlessly with the stone and slate authentic chalets that give Val d’Isère its timeless charm.
Meticulously envisioned and brought to life by Béatrice and Pierre Cerboneschi, La Mourra is made of a 5* Hotel with 7 exclusive Suites, a Spa Susanne Kaufmann, a Japanese-fusion restaurant, a lounge bar, and 5 private luxury chalets — cleverly adjoined to each other to form a secluded mountain hamlet.
La Mourra? A name whispered through time, its roots traced back to Petronius’s Satyricon. In the heart of Savoie, villagers once played this game to pass the coldest of winters — using only their hands and the rhythm of numbers: “eun, do, trë, càtro, tchisse, chui, sat, ouètte, nou, dji,” they yelled in Franco-Provençal, wagering on the sum of hidden fingers.
Here, La Mourra 5* is above all a place of stillness — where time slows and serenity takes hold. You will be gently carried by the soft, refined décor of the Suites and the distinctive soul of each chalet, each space whispering its own story.
